Rastislav Káčer has become a new president of Slovak Atlantic Committee
New president of Slovak Atlantic Committee (SAC) has on July 21, 2008 become Rastislav Káčer, the ambassador of SR in the United States of America (2003-2008) and former secretary of Ministry of defence of SR. He is one of the SAC founding members and he's long-acting in helping to fulfil objectives of this non-governmental organization. General Secretary of SAC has become its long-time chairman Róbert Vass, who will still administrate executive unit of the organization.

AMROP HEVER Slovakia internal training
Hotel Bow Garden in Komárno became from 2nd to 4th July 2008 a temporary point of activities of AMROP HEVER Slovakia consultancy company employees. Main reason of their outside Bratislava meeting was a training, influenced by internal Professional Practice Academy, focused on innovated service Executive Search-familiarization with modified processes, procedures and standards, exchange of experience and active practising of best practices. From own initiative innovated service reflects current needs of clients and allows to find and put optimal applicants into the life of an organization. Training lector was Igor Šulík, AMROP HEVER Slovakia Managing Partner. Two-day work programme continued on the third day with teambuilding action; some employees of other companies in JENEWEIN GROUP holding also took part in the action. Rich entertaining and chill-out programme was also including bowling competition and the third year of beach volleyball tournament for Chairmen Martin's Challenge Cup.

The annual conference The Amrop Hever Group
Under the main highlight "Get involved!” was on July 7-11, 2008 held the annual conference The Amrop Hever Group (TAHG), geographically the largest network of Executive Search companies. All the members including consulting company AMROP HEVER Slovakia, approved the global result of the year 2007. TAHG as the seventh largest network of that kind in the world with sales equal to 227,1 mil. USD, reached the annual growth by 28 percents (the second position in the rank, according to Executive Recruiter Search). Besides, it was talked about effectiveness of internal group cooperation and about strategic action plan for years 2008 - 2011. New initiative is "Work Point Programme” specialized in supporting employment of handicapped people, as a contribution to Corporate Social Responsibility, AMROP HEVER Slovakia has subscribed to this new global project. AMROP HEVER Slovakia was at the conference represented by Radomír Mako, Igor Šulík, Dalibor Slávik who participated in individual regional working groups. From this point of view their presence was very important, as their initiative for rebuilding the global group for the Management Audit was accepted by all the participants of the conference.
Based on traditional strong position of Central and Eastern Europe within TAHG, there was made a decision to held next annual conference in Prague.

Fleet & Automotive Public Relations 2008
Fleet & Automotive Public Relations expert conference took place in Bratislava on June 19, 2008. It is a specialized event connecting educational programmes for two different but still close target groups. Simultaneously with conference about managing firm flotillas (car parks), the equal part in the programme played educational programme designed for product specialists, marketers and public relations specialists in automobile industry focused on building up relationship with target groups. On presentation and preparation of expert programme participated Slovak and international experts, including Patrik Zoltvány, FIPRA Slovakia Senior Partner and member of JENEWEIN GROUP Governing Board. He gave a speech on topic Lobby activities. One of the issues he talked about was how to attain professional and firm interests in political parties, government institutions and in parliament.

Economic possibilities of Western Balkans
To contribute in strengthening of economic cooperation between Central Europe and Western Balkans countries-this was the main objective of international conference Economic possibilities of Western Balkans: Regional and European perspectives. The conference was organized in Bratislava during June 12 and 13, 2008 by Slovak society for foreign politics´ Research Centre, representatives of European Committee in Slovakia and by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. Patrik Zoltvány, member-advisor of EESC and FIPRA Slovakia Senior Partner, was active participant in panel discussion devoted to recent political dangers and future development of Western Balkans. In EESC, he is a member of Contact Group for Western Balkans, which aim is to help Balkan countries to entrench in EU. In his speech he focused on analysis of opportunities in area of business in separate countries for Slovak businessmen.

EESC president in Bratislava
On occasion of 50th anniversary of existence of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), which came into existence on the basis of the Treaty of Rome as one of the advisory institutions of European Community, its president, Dimitris Dimitriadis, visited on June 3, 2008 Bratislava. His official program was opened by business breakfast, where he was a guest of Slovak representatives in EESC-Martin Krekáč, member-advisor of EESC on behalf of the Business Alliance of Slovakia and co-chairman of JENEWEIN GROUP Governing Board, Patrik Zoltvány, member-advisor of EESC on behalf of National Union of Employers and FIPRA Slovakia Senior Partner, and Ján Oravec, member-advisor of EESC on behalf of National Union of Employers. Present were also representatives of employers' organizations that are members of Tripartite-František Bruckmayer on behalf of Federation of Employers' Associations of the Slovak Republic and president of National Union of Employers, Marián Jusko. Breakfast participants discussed with Dimitris Dimitriadis, whose main motto in current position is Business with human face, responsibilities and duties employers have in terms of social and civil dialogue and they also talked about development and quality of business environment and its impact on flexible and responsible approach towards arranged plans, employees and whole company.

Effective HR Management 2008
To provide up-to-date information about the current labour market situation and to chart possible ways leading to higher competitiveness-this all was the aim of Effective HR Management 2008 conference, which was organized on June 17 and 18, 2008 in Bratislava for the seventh time by the Institute for International Research. Program of the event started on the first day with speech given by Martin Krekáč, the president of Business Alliance of Slovakia (PAS), member-advisor of European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels and co-chairman of JENEWEIN GROUP Governing Board, on the topic Macroeconomic aspects of business development in Slovakia and their influence on the labour market. The speech was focused on the medium- and long-run vision of the economic development in Slovakia, labour market macroeconomic aspects, mobility and cost of labour force in Europe, Euro implementation and impact of this step in the area of human capital sources in Slovakia and on the results of Professions 2010-2020 project, in which PAS cooperates with non-profit organization Uni2010.

Internal Communication
On May 29, 2008 expert conference Internal Communication with subhead Employee-the key bearer of company's image and success took place in Bratislava. It was organized by 1st Class Agency company as the third conference from the series of workshops and conferences aimed at the Public Relations area. Conference objective was to open the internal communication topic and other issues closely related to it in the environment of companies operating in Slovakia. One of the experts speaking on the first point of program-Corporate Culture panel discussion was Juraj Studeník, partner of AJG Consulting consultancy company. On the next day, the program of the conference continued with expert workshop Creating strategy and tool of the internal communication.

Offsets in Slovakia
FIPRA Slovakia advisory group has become one of the three main partners of international conference Offsets in Slovakia. The organizer of the session, which took place on April 28, 2008 as a part of the side program during the International defense fair IDEB 2008 in the area of Incheba Expo Bratislava fairground, was Slovak Atlantic committee. Main theme of displays and panel discussions, in which participated Slovak minister of defense Jaroslav Baška and many other home and international experts, was the future of defense and security industry cooperation.

Woman of the Year 2007
FIPRA Slovakia has become a main partner of prestigious event Woman of the Year 2007. Its initiator and organizer is Bratislava Leaders Magazine. It is an event similar to an event first organized in Czech Republic by Prague Leaders Magazine. In Slovakia, the tradition of this event started in 2007 under the auspices of the first lady of Slovak Republic, Ms. Silvia Gašparovičová. Nomination period symbolically started on March, 8th. This year, the organizer has set five categories: Business, Media and Communication, Policy and Public Administration, Art and Science & Research. Contest is designed for women, which succeeded in harmonizing professional success and personal life. Fifteen women, the winners of individual categories, including the winner of the special category The Woman of the 21st Century, was selected by specialized jury with its vice-chairman Martin Krekáč, president of Business Alliance of Slovakia and co-chairman of Governing Board of JENEWEIN GROUP. Names of winners were announced during gala evening 350 invited guests on April, 25.
