AJG consulting to provide continuous evaluation of OPIS program
The company AJG Consulting, s.r.o. will secure elaboration of continuous evaluation of the Operational Program Informatization of Society (OPIS). The firm signed a contract worth EUR 725,000 ex-VAT with the Cabinet Office on June 29 of this year. Information published in the European Official Journal further shows that the aim of evaluations is improving the quality and effectiveness of management together with financial management of the operational program. Conclusions and suggestions of continuous operative evaluations should help management and implementation bodies adopt corrective measures in order to improve the fulfillment of OPIS’s objectives.
The company AJG Consulting has been active on the Slovak market since 1996. It provides specialized expert solutions in a broad range of sectors and functional levels.
The total OPIS budget from EU funds and Slovakia’s budget co-financing should be approximately EUR 1.2 billion in the programming period from 2007 to 2013. OPIS has four priority axes. A total of EUR 826 million is to be spent on eGovernment, the electronic form of public government and development of electronic services. As much as EUR 192 million is to be earmarked for eContent and eCulture and EUR 36 million should be directed to technical aid. Greater accessibility of broadband Internet, which should be supported by EUR 113 million is among the important goals of informatization.
