The Slovak Spectator: Firms learn to put employees first
When it comes to outsourcing, Slovaks still have a lot to learn. Take human resources. While HR is among those activities that foreign companies outsource the most, many Slovak managers are reluctant to follow suit.
Human resource suppliers maintain that companies do best when they can concentrate on their core business, whether it is manufacturing, banking or retail. Payroll, recruitment, employee motivation and training-those are activities best left to experts, say outsourcing experts.

Zisk manažment: Career & Employment Guide 2005
Since Slovakia's entry into the EU, fears of massive waves of East European immigrants
flowing into the wealthier European Union countries have turned out to be unjustified.
On the contrary, human resources experts suggest that many Slovaks abroad are expressing interest
in returning to Slovakia due to the good prospects they see for applying their experience back home.
"From Slovakia, it has been mainly recent graduates and young people going abroad. However, the number of vacancies is rather
limited and jobs are available mainly in periphery regions in specific fields where there is a shortage of local labour.
So we cannot expect a big outflow of labour from Slovakia. Our local labour market is changing mainly due to the arrival of foreign
investors who create new job opportunities for qualified labour," said Patrik Zoltvány, Partner of personnel consultancy AJG-Amrop Jenewein Group.
For the 6th time, Amrop Jenewein Group, became a General Partner of this specialized yearly publication.
